After going to Yartar in search for adventure, I got the chance to gamble with a new friend. He was a Moon Elf by the name of Raven Moonstar, and was horrible at gambling. I won all he had, and he even wagered information on a castle that I could become the lord of. Yet again, I defeated him, winning his information. Moonstar said to go look for a man at Loudwater by the name of Randal Buckman, and said he would assist me.
When I got to Loudwater, I had made it there before Buckman and his group. Keeping an eye out for Buckman, I spotted a group (and Buckman) on their way into Loudwater. Riding up on my steed, I introduce myself to the group. I met Buckman the human, Ari the Moon Elf, Dra’kun the Goliath (who strangely calls himself “Shameful One” if I recall correctly), Iyhia (has a strange fascination with humans), Pup the Kenku (Likes the word “asshole”?), and Usk the Lizardfolk (wants to eat everything that has meat?). What a strange group of individuals. When confronted by the town guard, they asked an audience with the Goliath in the name of their lord. Splitting the party up, Buckman said that we could talk about the whole Raven Moonstar over a drink at the inn. I went with Dra’kun and the other half of the group to the meeting with the Lord. He asked us to go north and kill the Orcs in that area who had been causing lots of trouble recently. The reward was anything we found, but not the crown that he wanted us to return to him. Iyhia asked if the crown had magical properties, but the Lord didn’t know for sure if it did, but it did did have sentimental value to it. Another reward, but was mostly for Dra’kun, was that the bards in the area would make songs for Dra’kun and restore his honor to his name. When we returned to the group and told the others about the news of our objective, it was decided that we’ll go eliminate the Orcs to the north.
After resting a day we headed out, and using my tracking skill, we made our way to a keep that had been taken over by Orcs. Originally, our plan was to sneak up to the keep, but the group was spotted by Orcs. The fight got a bit hairy, since Dra’kun had been knocked unconscious, as well as Ari. I quickly went to the aid of Ari, since I had seen Pup enter the keep without her. After healing her, we all went inside to heal and look around in the keep. I split up from the group and found a kitchen with normal food, then I went to the basement entrance, and waited for someone to come assist me, in case of an ambush of some sort. There was no ambush, but instead was some sacks and chests. We got plenty of gold and platinum from the basement and evenly distributed it.
