After the dragon awoke, we learned that it could speak the common tongue. We explained why we came here and why we killed the dragon’s friends. The dragon soon after explained that his gold and treasure was stolen while he was out hunting. It was stolen by Dark elves from another realm, which he warned us about. We should have taken that warning more seriously, because after resting and the dragon leaving, we ended up going through a portal into some sort of darkness. Though I had dark vision, Buckman, Pup, and Dra’kun did not have dark vision. This new area was different. We were now in a field of dead grass, and everything was black and grey, which I assumed to be what darkness looks like. We looked around, and then spotted figures coming from the distance. They got closer and closer, I used my Devine Sense to tell what the figures were. They were undead, so Ari used her Turn Undead, and ended up killing them all. We then saw a Farmhouse, which we ventured into. I was the first to the door. As I opened the door, I heard a cry from a baby? I turned to see if the others had heard the same thing, which they had. I searched the first floor, and Iyhia went up stairs with Pup, since the house was very frail and old with rotten wood. While I was down stairs, Iyhia came down stairs after supposedly putting down an undead baby, which was supposedly “freshly” made. We made our way out after that fiasco. There was a crystal outside that I presumed to be made by the Dwarves (My own race if you haven’t been paying attention) and it was most likely given to the people who live here as a gift of light. The crystal gives off light to near the farmhouse. After leaving on a road that we found nearby, we went into a thicket. When making our way through the thicket, I saw pairs of eyes watching us, and I knew we had to keep moving and get out of there. We made our way out and came to another open field, but there was also a lake nearby. We saw another light in the distance, perhaps a town? We went to the river to check if it was water we could drink. Usk decided to drink the water to test it for us, and told us it tasted different from normal water, but it should be fine to drink. I didn’t trust the water, so I waited for Ari to rest to be able to change out which spells she could use. She conjured food and water for us to eat and drink from. Usk wanted to use water walk to get across the water to the light, which we presumed was a town or settlement. Iyhia didn’t want to walk across the water, so we made out way around the lake to the light. When we made it there, we saw that it was indeed a town. We came to the entrance and looked up to the guards, and they gave us a fee to come inside of the town. We payed or fees and went inside of the town. The group made it’s way to the inn, which was a pretty sketchy place, all be it we were in a realm of Eternal Darkness. An imp came in suddenly from some sort of portal that came from right in the middle of the table that we all sat at. He took our orders, and I ended up just eating the rations Ari conjured up. He asked something to Ari and Iyhia, something about giving or receiving pain, to which they both replied with a no. I was a little bit proud of the two with their strong independence. Anyways, the imp mentioned something about a tailor coming over and giving us shadow cloaks of some sort. I thought they would be bad ass black capes that would hide us in the darkness from anything- but I was mislead by the name. The tailor came and told us about what the cloaks were made us. They were made of dead zombie skin, tanned to a dark color. The cloak was made to hide us from the undead with the smell from the material that makes the undead think you’re just like them. That was when we purchased them, not really feeling too comfortable with that, but it was a necessity to get past the damn undead. We made our way to our rooms and rested up for the upcoming events that were to unfold in the future.
